Zenobia, Dusty
Zenobia pulverulenta 'Woodlanders Blue'
1 Gallon | Hardiness Zones 5-9
A rare gem of the Southeastern coastal plain, Zenobia pulverulenta 'Woodlanders Blue' is a semi-evergreen ornamental shrub prized for its striking blue-gray foliage and showy clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers in spring. Native to the coastal Carolinas, this unique cultivar was introduced by Woodlanders and has since gained wider recognition for its garden merit and regional beauty.
'Woodlanders Blue' offers year-round interest with its powdery blue leaves, which contrast beautifully with the pure white flowers that bloom in graceful racemes. This low-maintenance, moisture-loving shrub thrives in acidic, sandy soils and performs best in full sun to part shade, making it ideal for woodland gardens, native plant landscapes, and pollinator-friendly beds.
Zenobia was virtually unavailable from nurseries when Woodlanders began offering it. Zenobia’s elegant presence and adaptability have made it a sought-after choice for gardeners seeking native shrubs with ornamental foliage and spring blooms.
