History of Rhododendron 'Aromi Sunstruck': The 'Aromi Sunstruck' was developed by Dr. Eugene Aromi, a renowned hybridizer who aimed to create azaleas that could thrive in a broader range of climates, particularly the hot and humid regions of the southern United States.

By crossing native species with other hybrids, Dr. Aromi succeeded in producing a series of azaleas known for their heat tolerance, vibrant colors, and robust growth.
