Florida flame azalea is a fragrant native deciduous azalea of the southeastern woodlands. In early spring, warm yellow to orange blooms open with a sweet honeysuckle scent, lighting up the part-shade garden weeks before summer.

Fragrant yellow to orange, March to April

Flower. In early spring, before or with the new leaves, trusses of fragrant, honeysuckle-shaped flowers open in warm yellow to glowing orange, sweetly scented on the mild air.

Foliage. Deciduous leaves follow, soft green through summer, often coloring before they fall.

Fruit. Slender capsules ripen and split to shed fine seed.

All our plants are sold in 1-gallon sizes, though the height of each plant can vary depending on its growth rate and seasonality, typically ranging from 1/2 to 2.5 feet.

Each plant is carefully packaged with its roots enclosed in a secure plastic bag containing moist soil, forming a compact root ball. To ensure safe transport, the box is padded with recycled newspaper, providing both stability and eco-friendly protection from weather during shipping.
