Ilex glabra, the Inkberry or Gallberry Holly is a very hardy evergreen shrub found on moist acid soil in much of eastern coastal North America. It is a versatile ornamental shrub for garden use and can be a neat and attractive shrub in sunny sites with acid soil that is moist or irrigated. Berries on female plants are normally black and don't show up very well in the dark green foliage but this unusual form has white berries which hold on plants from fall to spring and show up well. To insure berry set plant a male Ilex glabra nearby for pollenation.

All our plants are sold in 1-gallon sizes, though the height of each plant can vary depending on its growth rate and seasonality, typically ranging from 1/2 to 2.5 feet.
Each plant is carefully packaged with its roots enclosed in a secure plastic bag containing moist soil, forming a compact root ball. To ensure safe transport, the box is padded with recycled newspaper, providing both stability and eco-friendly protection from weather during shipping.
