About the Our Favorites Collection
This is our shortlist, the plants we come back to season after season. Every grower ends up with favorites, the plants that never disappoint, that reward a little attention with a lot of beauty, and that we find ourselves recommending over and over. We have gathered ours here: a mix of the tough and the tender, the showy and the quiet, united only by the fact that we love to grow them.
What earns a plant a place on this list is not any single quality. Some make the cut for sheer performance, thriving and flowering where others struggle; some for a fragrance, a fall color, or a flower we would not want a garden to be without; and some for the stories they carry and the wildlife they bring. A plant makes this list by being one we would put in our own beds without a second thought.
Think of this collection as a set of personal recommendations from the people who grow these plants for a living. If you are not sure where to start, or you simply want the reassurance of a grower's pick, you will not go far wrong here. These are the plants we trust, and the ones we are always happiest to send home with you.
